PF Transcription is a Chrome extension that records Google Meet sessions after explicit user consent, uploads the meeting audio to our secure servers for AI processing, and generates transcripts, summaries, and action items.
1. Information We Collect
- Meeting audio recorded only after the user starts recording.
- Meeting transcripts generated from that audio.
- Meeting metadata such as meeting title and timestamps.
- Google Meet page content strictly required to enable transcription.
- Diagnostic logs necessary for troubleshooting.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
- Passwords or authentication credentials.
- Payment or financial information.
- Browsing history.
- Precise location information.
- Personal files outside supported meeting pages.
3. How We Use Your Data
Collected information is used only to:
- Generate meeting transcripts.
- Produce AI summaries.
- Generate action items.
- Improve transcription quality.
- Diagnose technical issues.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with advertisers. Meeting data is processed by our own backend services. Some AI processing may run on trusted third-party AI infrastructure (for example, Ollama) solely to generate transcripts and summaries; such providers process the data only to deliver these features and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
5. Data Retention
Meeting recordings and the data derived from them are retained only as long as necessary to provide the service, or until deleted by the user or the account owner.
6. Security
All communication between the extension and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS.
7. User Control
- Recording begins only when the user chooses to start it.
- The user may stop recording at any time.
